Terms of Service

Welcome to Bubbl. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bubbl iOS application (“the App”) operated by Bubbl (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using Bubbl, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
Bubbl is a visual task management application for iOS. It allows you to organise tasks as interactive bubbles, collaborate with partners through Co-Pop, and use voice input to create tasks. The App is available as a free service with optional paid features through a Bubbl+ subscription.
2. Accounts
You may use Bubbl as a guest without creating an account. Guest mode provides local-only functionality.
To access cloud sync, Co-Pop sharing, and other connected features, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
Bubbl offers a free tier with the following limitations:
- Up to 2 voice inputs per day
- 1 Co-Pop partner link
- Up to 3 actively shared bubbles (pending or accepted) at any time
- Default categories only (no custom categories)
Bubbl+
Bubbl+ is a premium subscription that includes:
- Up to 20 voice inputs per day
- Unlimited Co-Pop partner links
- Unlimited bubble sharing
- Custom categories with custom colours
- Custom canvas backgrounds
- All future premium features
Billing
All payments are processed through Apple’s App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple’s payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or from within the App’s settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.
Free Trials
We may offer free trial periods for Bubbl+. Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is available only to users who have not previously redeemed a free trial for Bubbl+. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.
4. User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Bubbl, including bubble titles, notes, checklist items, photos, file attachments, and categories (“User Content”).
By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service. This includes:
- Syncing your content across your devices via cloud storage
- Sharing your content with partners you designate through Co-Pop
- Processing your voice recordings for transcription and text extraction via third-party AI services
We do not use your content for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the service.
You are responsible for your User Content and must ensure it does not violate any laws or these Terms.
5. Co-Pop (Partner Sharing)
Co-Pop allows you to link with another Bubbl user and share bubbles with them.
- Each bubble can be shared with one partner at a time
- Shared partners can view bubble content (including attached photos and checklist items), edit details, and mark checklist items as complete
- You can revoke sharing at any time by unsharing the bubble or unlinking from the partner
- When you unshare or delete a shared bubble, it is removed from your partner’s view
- If you unpair from a partner, all shared bubble links between you are removed
- Free users are limited to 1 partner link and 3 actively shared bubbles (pending or accepted) at any time
You are responsible for the content you share with partners. Do not share content that is harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
6. Voice Input
Bubbl offers voice input for creating bubbles and checklist items. By using this feature, you consent to the following:
- Audio is recorded locally on your device
- Recordings are sent to our secure backend (Firebase Cloud Functions), which processes them using OpenAI’s Whisper API for transcription
- The transcribed text may also be processed by OpenAI’s language model (GPT) to extract checklist items or generate a concise title from your speech
- Audio recordings are deleted immediately after transcription – they are not stored on our servers or by OpenAI
- Only the resulting text (title, notes, or checklist items) is retained as part of your bubble content
- Voice input accuracy may vary and we do not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or AI-generated text
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Share harmful, abusive, threatening, or harassing content through Co-Pop
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure or services
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Bubbl application, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Bubbl and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
The Bubbl name, logo, and associated branding are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
Your content remains yours — see Section 4 above.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- Voice transcriptions or AI-generated text will be accurate
- Data will never be lost (we recommend keeping important information backed up)
- Partner actions on shared bubbles will meet your expectations
- The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bubbl’s total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits.
12. Account Termination
By You
You may delete your account at any time from within the App’s settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data, including bubbles, categories, settings, and shared content. This action cannot be undone.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behaviour, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except where immediate action is necessary.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of Bubbl after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may stop using the App and delete your account.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
